House League Player Development Program

House League Player Development Program

BASEBALLMILTON is excited to introduce the House League Player Development Program for 2018!  Access to this program is included with your House League registration fee!  Please note, as we are primarily a volunteer run organization and this is the first year of this program, we do expect to make adjustments along the way as we implement the various phases throughout the off-season and regular season.  Additionally, since our House League membership includes kids from ages 4 to 18, the execution of the program will vary from age group to age group.

  • The purpose of this program is to offer our House League players development opportunities beyond what has been traditionally available through practices and games during the regular season.
  • The philosophy behind this program is to recognize that while there is a spectrum of needs among our players when it comes to baseball (ie some are just starting out and some are looking to take their game the next level of competition), our kids play baseball for fun.
  • The approach for this program is to foster not only physical and technical aspects of the game but also the mental and emotional.
  • The goal of this program is to provide our kids with a greater enjoyment and a deeper understanding of the great game of baseball.

The first phase of the program starts this month with indoor training for the Rookie, Mosquito, and Peewee divisions.  Each player will be invited to participate in one 90 minute clinic that will cover the basics of baseball appropriate to their age level.  Please note that each clinic will accommodate 25-30 players at a time so there will be multiple dates from January to April available to chose from.  Keep an eye on your inbox, our website, on Facebook, and on Twitter for registration information.
