10U–13U Rep Baseball Tryout Process Update - Pilot Program
This season, we’re introducing a new pilot tryout process for our 10U–13U Tier 1 (T1) and Tier 2 (T2) teams with the goal of providing a consistent, comprehensive, and player-focused evaluation process while reducing the number of tryouts many players need to attend.
How the New Process Works
Tryouts 1 & 2
- Both T1 and T2 coaching staffs will evaluate all players during the first two tryout sessions.
- This ensures every player is assessed by both coaching groups from the beginning of the process.
Tryout 3 — T1 Final Callbacks
- Selected players will attend the T1 final callback.
- The T1 roster will be finalized following this session.
- Players that attended the callback but were not selected for T1 will automatically advance to the final T2 tryout and will not need to be re-selected.
Tryout 4 — T2 Final Evaluations
This session will include:
- Players not selected for T1 following the final callback.
- Additional players identified by the T2 coaching staff after the first two tryouts.
The T2 coaching staff will use this session to finalize the T2 roster.
Why the Change?
This pilot program is designed to:
- Reduce the number of tryouts players need to attend.
- Provide more consistent and comprehensive evaluations.
- Involve both coaching staffs earlier in the process.
- Ensure T1 callback players receive continued consideration for T2.
- Create a more efficient and transparent experience for players and families.
Thank you for your support as we introduce this new process. We look forward to a positive tryout experience for all players and families.
Best of luck to all athletes participating in tryouts this season!
